Like a phenomenon being talked about many times and experienced by many, “if you only have days to live, make everyday count”. It is a conscious being with a conscious realization – the end is here. The real life finally comes to an end, rendering “real” irrelevant. All the artificial, superficial and deceptive feeling of a mind, which is constantly impressed by the eternal world, ceases to calculate and to absorb more for a purpose of the future, but starts to realize the meaning of now, or never. The death is the realest in a real life – a certainty when, at the same time, also the most conscious and idealist moment of a mind manifesting their substantial existence.

Consciousness was not considered a scientific study couple decade ago because of its abstraction and insubstantiality for a quantitive research. It still cannot be understood now in consistence with the fact that the biggest mystery to a being is the being itself. Consciousness is an awareness of one’s existence, a view of the world, an attitude under circumstances, and a chosen position.

There is no matching meaning in traditional Chinese vocabulary for CONSCIOUSNESS when it is much easier to understand other imported and more substantial words such as dream, ideals, and creativity. We may have been too practical in real world.
